Thanks roop.. taking ownership of the folder... tagal.. daming folders..  balitaan mo kami ha....but looks like it'll pan out well  pag ayos ka na....I'll jump into Vista as well |

Shin -- what about this method:
"The thing that stops Vista playing ball on the Eee is it's HUGE side by side directory, \Windows\winsxs. It's about 1.5GB. The real problem is that it's huge AND very difficult to move. The trick is to put it on SDHC.
- Navigate to the \Windows\WinSXS directory, and view the security properties. You need to first give yourself ownership of the directory, and then give yourself full access (i'd use the administrator account to do this stuff).
- Now run a command prompt, and create a dummy directory. Type 'mkdir c:\windows\winsxs.moved'
- Now that's done, we're gonna create a junction (like a Symbolic link for Vista). Type 'mklink /J c:\windows\winsxs.link winsxs.moved'
- Now delete the winsxs.moved directory. Type 'rmdir c:\windows\winsxs.moved'
Now we need to use MoveFile to schedule renaming of the winsxs at reboot. This is the key that will give us control over that nightmare directory.
- From the command prompt, run 'movefile c:\windows\winsxs c:\windows\winsxs.moved'. As you can see, this is renaming the winsxs directory before anything can get a hold on it.
- From the command prompt, run 'movefile c:\windows\winsxs.link c:\windows\winsxs'. This puts a winsxs directory back (as far as the OS is concerned), so everything doesn't collapse in a heap.
- Now type 'pendmoves'. It should show the 2 pending moves you've entered above, with NO ERRORS. If it all looks good, REBOOT!
ang balita ko ay.. after reboot.. BSOD.. then reboot lang ng reboot.. must have down something wrong.. unable to recover now.. reinstalling Vista.. |

just finished re-installing Vista. Used another driver for the WLAN (sorry Romann, the driver you provided didn't work for me). Will try the WINSXS fix tomorrow..
Well, uu nga e, nung ni-try ko una e ayaw. Pero may kutob kasi ako na may conflict sa ibang driver. So I downloaded the Driver Magic, have all the drivers used backed up, created a new vLited Vista, integrate the backed up drivers. Then nung ni-test ko na yung bagong installer e gumana na. Will keep an observation for this, thanks for the info bro.  |

clone the disk pre before taking the plunge para minimal damage. parang alangan nga ako sa winsxs move dati kaya di ko inattempt (plus its too scary to do, even for me, hehe).

I saw some article na imbis i move ang winsxs e iti-trim down sya of duplicates, ta try ko na muna yun, pag umokey e di at least mapapabilis kahit papano ang move attempt ko pag nde ako convinced sa iniliit ng winsxs |

Yep.. celebrate small successes na lang siguro.. hehehehe...
hinahanap ko naman ng solusyon yung tap sensitivity nung touchpad.. known issue.. hehehe..
Shin, would you know how much kung pa-ship ko sa HK yung battery ng EEE?
